Coimbatore: Security has been beefed up in the city following BJP's rally in support of CAA to be held in the city on Friday.
Coimbatore: Security has been beefed up in the city following BJP's rally in support of CAA to be held in the city on Friday.
Around 1200 security personnel has been deployed in the city, ahead of the rally. The rally will be led by Vanathi Srinivasan, BJP State Secretary. The rally will begin from BJP Office in Gandhipuram and will reach the Red Cross building, from where cadres are expected to petition to the District Collector.
Also, Central Reserve Police Force (RAF), has been deployed and van with tear gas and security measures are kept ready. The police are stationed in key points of the city for security. The rally is set to commence around 4pm in the evening.
