Coimbatore: Coimbatore Management Association (CMA) bestowed awards to organisations and individuals for their outstanding contribution to the region. The awards were conferred at the National Management Day celebration at Hotel Residency Towers in the city on Thursday.
Coimbatore: Coimbatore Management Association (CMA) bestowed awards to organisations and individuals for their outstanding contribution to the region. The awards were conferred at the National Management Day celebration at Hotel Residency Towers in the city on Thursday.
The National Management Day is celebrated all over India on the February 21, each year, to mark the anniversary of establishment of the All India Management Association in New Delhi, the apex body of management.
Speaking at the event, S Prashanth, President of CMA, Coimbatore Chapter said that, "CMA which is affiliated to the All India Management Association is one of the oldest management association in the country. The prime motive of CMA is to promote excellence in professional management. The services of the association is oriented towards promoting and developing best management practices in business and industries, institutions and individuals, in the region."
He added that CMA is committed to enhancing professionalism among members, through training programmes, meetings on topics of contemporary interest, accessing and updating management theories and practices.
C.K Ranganathan, Vice President of All India Management Association who was the Chief Guest for the event commenced his speech by quoting, "Changes favours the prepared ones."
He opined that since the economy is facing a slow down, entrepreneurs should be prepared to face it. "We should find our own way to fight the prevailing economic slow down", he told the audience.
The VP of All India Management Association opined that digital revolution will play a huge role in businesses, entrepreneurs and organisations, in the coming years. Hence, one should be ready to adapt to it. Learning is the only solution for keeping oneself updated.
As part of the event, the news letter of CMA was released and awards were presented.

V.R Chander, Managing Partner of T.S Mahalingam & Sons was presented with Mahendra Pumps Best SME Award.
GRG Best Women Entrepreneur Award was presented to Deepa Muthukumarasamy, Founder & CEO of Some more foods.
Quadra Best Startup Award was awarded to Magnic Technologies (P) Ltd,
DJ Best Manager award was presented to Dr K Natesan, President- Operations, Sakthi Finance Ltd
Dr R.G Priyadarshini, Associate Professor, Amrita School of Business was presented with GRD Best
