Tirupur: The war of words between Muslims and Hindu Munnani have escalated since the protests and riots in Delhi. Pro-CAA rallies by BJP and other Hindutva outfits have been scheduled in the next few days and Muslims took the opportunity to take a jibe at the rallies by petitioning to save their Biriyani vessels alluding to biriyani that was taken from beef biriyani stores allegedly by Hindu Munnani members during the riots that followed Hindu Munnani functionary Sasikumar’s murder.

Reacting sharply to this jibe, Hindu Munnani members today petitioned the Tirupur South Police for protecting the goats from Muslims referred as ‘goat husbands’. Kadeshwara Subramaniam, the state leader of Hindu Munnani had also reacted sharply during the Kodi Naama Pooja held today in Tirupur saying that dogs and donkeys need protection from Muslims.
The war of words have clearly irked the Hindu outfits. The security establishment of Tirupur and Coimbatore can hopefully take these things into account and prepare accordingly for the forthcoming rallies and protests.
