Coimbatore: Commemorating the 72nd birthday of the late Former CM Jayalalitha, the Minister for Municipal Administration and RDI S.P. Velumani distributed welfare assistance at the Coimbatore AIADMK Head Office on Tuesday.
Addressing the gathering, the Minister said, "Each birthday of 'Amma' is being celebrated with the same energy and enthusiasm, just as it was celebrated, when she was alive. All the schemes envisioned by her are now being realised in CM Edappadi Palanisamy's regime. The announcement regarding the Cauvery Management board, was made today."
He added that even after AIADMK implementing path-breaking welfare schemes, the DMK President Stalin can only find faults.
The Minister accused that Stalin has been instigating the Muslims to protest against the citizenship amendment act. While our CM has promised to protect the interests and rights of the Muslims, DMK's fear-mongering is condemnable.
He further alleged that DMK is trying to use this chaotic situation for vote bank politics.
"People in Tamil Nadu should trust the CM's words", he urged.
"These days, incidents of land grabbing or 'Katta Panchayat' is not prevalent in Tamil Nadu because of AIADMK's rule. TN is a peaceful State, now. Law and order is in place. People have to think, if TN was the same in DMK's period?", the Minister questioned.
Following the event, he visited the Coimbatore GH and gifted 13 newborns, with rings and gold chains.
