Tirupur: Over 80 anti-CAA protestors have been arrested in Tirupur while they were trying to stage a road roko, the police said on Tuesday.
Tirupur: Over 80 anti-CAA protestors have been arrested in Tirupur while they were trying to stage a road roko, the police said on Tuesday.
According to reports, the protestors belonging to Tamil Nadu Muslim Munnetra Kazhagam tried to enter the railway station forcibly to stage a rail roko against CAA.
Despite a ban to stage rail roko, the protestors jumped the barricades and tried to forcibly enter the railway station.
Following which, a scuffle ensued between the protestors and the Police.
As the police blocked them at the railway station, the protestors laid siege to Tirupur head post office and raised slogans.
Later, all the protestors were courted arrest for causing inconvenience to the public.
