Coimbatore: Former MP KC Palanisamy in a press meet on Monday here has alleged that Minister SP Velumani has plundered tens of thousands of crores and even the CM is scared of questioning him, as he fears that Minister SP Velumani will overthrow the party rule in the State.

Addressing the media at his residence here, former MP KC Palanisamy questioned why he was denied permission to garland the statue of late Former CM Jayalalithaa on her birth anniversary, today? "To avoid untoward incidents, I paid my respects to her portrait at my residence", he said.

Accusing that CM Edapadi Palanisamy is unfit for office, he mocked that CM is thinking that all farmers in the State are affluent like him. "From the day he took charge as CM, he has been partial and focussed only on developing his hometown Salem. Is he the CM for Tamil Nadu or Salem?", he questioned.

He lambasted that Minister SP Velumani is involved in several corruptions and because of him the AIADMK party has more number of contractors than members. "After this regime, Minister SP Velumani will be in jail for his corruption", he opined.

He questioned the advertising done by the Minister SP Velumani in Coimbatore which says that the city has been witnessing mammoth development in the last few years than it accomplished in 50 years. "In that case, Is Minister Velumani trying to say that AIADMK government has not done anything to people of TN in the last 27 years out of 45 years of its rule?", he questioned.

He urged that Minister SP Velumani should be sacked from the party for discrediting the AIADMK regime. He also alleged that those party cadres who exposed or questioned Minister SP Velumani are now serving imprisonment in Coimbatore central jail.

People in Tamil Nadu are irked by the decision of AIADMK to vote in favour of the Citizenship Amendment Act.

Clarifying the allegations on him of misusing the party website, the former MP said that AIADMK party website was auctioned and that he purchased it for Rs. 10,000, to prevent any misuse. He challenged if the CM or Deputy CM can show his announcement of his dismissal.

He alleged that off late the AIADMK party has categorically proved itself as the B-team of BJP, their actions are undemocratic including the support for CAA.
