Coimbatore: BJP State General Secretary, Vanathi Srinivasan on Monday claimed that it is completely unnecessary to carry protests against Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and asserted that “For political gains, opposition parties and communal organisations are disturbing the harmony of the State and the Nation."
She slammed that it is unbecoming of the opposition parties as they continue to spread unwarranted information about CAA, NPR and NRC. She urged the people, especially the Muslims not to fall prey to such propaganda, instead should take time to educate themselves on the amended Citizenship Act.
"Even after Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has assured the citizens of all religions that CAA is not against the minorities or any religion, the opposition parties are still spinning lies to create panic among the people. Of late, the protestors have been hailing Pakistan and raising slogans against Hindus. Such acts should not be encouraged at any cost and DMK should stop instigating the minorities", condemned Vanathi Srinivasan.
She added that it's unfortunate that the protestors have been brain-washed with false propaganda by certain political parties to defame the BJP government and for vote bank politics.
She reitrated that the propaganda that the amended Citizenship Act is against Muslims is totally false.
"Condemning the organisations and political parties who spread false information on CAA, NPR and NRC, a massive rally in support of CAA will be held across all districts in Tamil Nadu on February 28. A petition regarding the issue will be submitted to the District Collector", she added.
