In the meantime, the officers who had locked the bank after completing the banking operations on Saturday, came to the bank today and saw that the windows were smashed and the jewels and cash in the locker were stolen.
Bank officials also informed the Kamanayakanpalayam police that the bank's CCTV cameras had been broken and cash and jewels were stolen.
Upon receiving information, police arrived at the scene with sniffer dogs and inspected the bank and surrounding areas.
The Tirupur District SP Disha Mittal, who arrived at the scene, is investigating with bank officials. Police officials are also investigating the value of looted money and jewellery at the bank. It is noteworthy that few mysterious persons attempted to rob in the same bank five months ago
