Coimbatore: Police have arrested four people in Ramanathapuram, for stabbing two youth during a Kabaddi game, recently. Upon orders from City Commissioner, three of them have been booked under Goondas act.

Lokeshwaran and 'Spike' Naveen were assaulted near Sakthi Mariamman Koil street behind new housing unit on January 16, 2020 by a gang of four people.
One of the victim, Lokeshwaran sustained injuries to his left rib, while the other victim, Naveen sustained injuries to his left rib, right hip left leg, thigh and abdomen. They both were admitted in Coimbatore GH for treatment. Meanwhile, Naveen succumbed to injuries.
Upon investigation the police found that four people committed the crime due to personal vengeance. The accused were identified as Dokki Vijayakumar (29), Kalli Kannan (21), Japan Hariharan (21), Sakthivel (17).
Following his death, the police changed the case to murder. As one of the accused, Sakthivel is a minor, he was produced in Juvenile Court.
As per the order of Sumit Sharan, City Police Commissioner, three accused --Dokki Vijayakumar, Kalli Kannan and Japan Hariharan were booked under Goondas act and imprisoned in Coimbatore Central Jail.
