Tirupur: Commenting on the gruesome accident that killed 20 KSRTC passengers who were enroute from Bangalore to Ernakulam on Thursday morning, Kerala State Minister, Sunil Kumar has remarked that swift action by the Tirupur district administration and the Police has helped reduce the casualties.
Tirupur: Commenting on the gruesome accident that killed 20 KSRTC passengers who were enroute from Bangalore to Ernakulam on Thursday morning, Kerala State Minister, Sunil Kumar has remarked that swift action by the Tirupur district administration and the Police has helped reduce the casualties.
He commended that the timely action and utmost care taken by the district administration has drastically helped to reduce the fatalities.
The Kerala State Minister informed that so far, bodies of five persons has been handed over to their relatives after an autopsy. By 5 PM, the remaining bodies will be handed over, he said.
"Two passengers severely injured are presently undergoing critical treatment in Coimbatore government hospital. While others who sustained minor injuries are treated in Tirupur government hospital", he said.
Several MLAs, MPs and District Collectors from Kerala reached the accident spot and monitored the rescue works. A case has been registered against the container driver.
