The siege protest has been called to bring pressure on the AIADMK government to pass resolution in the assembly opposing the CAA.
The Muslims across the State are holding massive protests against the CAA and demanding the state government to pass a resolution in the Assembly not to implement the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA), the proposed National Register of Citizens (NRC) and the National Population Register (NPR).
While the organisers have apprised to hold the protest in a peaceful manner, police force has been beefed up to avoid any untoward activity.
