Coimbatore: A 28-year-old photographer was arrested on Tuesday after police confirmed that he threatened to publicly release intimate photos of a married woman who allegedly had been in an illicit relationship with him.

According to Singanallur police, a 38-year-old married woman from the city has been in an alleged illicit relationship with Jishnu (28), a photographer from Neelikonampalayam in Singanallur here. Lured by his false claims of having close connections in movie industry, the woman fell for him as she wanted to pursue acting in movies.
After three years of alleged illicit affair, their relationship turned sour and the woman broke up with him. Enraged by her decision, Jishnu began to threaten her of releasing initiate photos of them on social media. He also had allegedly demanded a ransom from her.
Distressed by his torture, the woman decided to approach the Singanallur police station to put an end to his black mail.
On receiving the complaint, police inquired and arrested Jishnu and seized his mobile phone. He was later presented at the Court and imprisoned at the Coimbatore Central Prison.
