Coimbatore: Members of the District Congress staged a protest here on Tuesday condemning the hike in the price of LPG cylinders. They alleged that the BJP government has failed to curb the increasing cost of essential commodities.

Their showed their dissent by projecting the LPG cylinders on death beds. The protest comes after the announcement by the Tamil Nadu Congress leader Alagiri who apprised of continous protests against the hike of price of essential commodities including LPG.
The protest in Coimbatore was led by Mayura Jayakumar, Working President of TN Congress. Raising slogans against the Centre, the Congress members alleged that the price hike will badly affect the common man.
They urged the Centre to withdraw the price hike on LPG cylinders.
