Coimbatore: A Journalist of Captain TV from Pollachi died in a road accident on Pollachi-Coimbatore highways on Monday after his car rammed on the centre median.
Coimbatore: A Journalist of Captain TV from Pollachi died in a road accident on Pollachi-Coimbatore highways on Monday after his car rammed on the centre median.
Chandrasekar (35) from Pollachi has been working as reporter for Captain TV. He also holds the position of Secretary of Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK) of Pollachi region.
According to reports, Chandrasekar along with his friends were returning back to Pollachi from Coimbatore on Monday night. While they were nearing their destination, two of his friends got down to get water bottles. Meanwhile, Chandrasekar who attempted to take an U-turn rammed on the centre median.
In the accident, Chandrasekar along with his friend Kishore died on the spot. While another friend Senthil sustained severe injuries and was rushed to a private hospital.
Presently, Chandrasekar's body has been kept at Pollachi government hospital for autopsy.
The untimely death of the Journo has sent shock waves among the Journalists in the western region, as this is the second death in this year. On January 30, a TOI reporter from Tirupur, Rajasekar (31) died in a car crash.
