Coimbatore: Alleging inaction by the police against the erring Headmistress who allegedly forced their daughter, a 5th grade student to clean the toilets of the school, the mother of the girl has petitioned to the District Collector demanding legal action.

"Despite complaining the issue to the Periyanaickenpalayam police station, no action has been taken against the Headmistress who forced my daughter to clean toilets and wash the plates of other caste Hindu students", alleged the mother of the girl.
According to the mother, on February 11, her daughter a 5th grade student of Puthupalayam government school in Periyanaickenpalayam has informed about the incident and the alleged discriminatory torture by the Headmistress. The student has informed her parents that Headmistress Kumareshwari has been abusing her verbally based citing her caste. And, forced her clean the toilets and wash plates of caste Hindu students for the past two weeks.
"Due to the discriminatory actions by the Headmistress, my daughter refuses to attend school", lamented the mother.
She petitioned the Collector to initiate stern action against the Headmistress under SC, ST (Prevention of atrocities) Act.
