In Valparai, members of Tamil Nadu Muslim Munnetra Kazhagam (TMMK) on Sunday led a rally condemning the police attack. Over 200 people including women and party cadres of TMMK, DMK, AMMK, VCK, CPI and others took part in the rally.
Abdul Kadhir, Head of Masjids, Anaimalai - Valparai region led the protest at Valparai old bus stand. The protestors raised slogans against the State government for not initiating action against the policemen who unleashed lathi charge on protestors.

Sabir Ali from TMMK, Town Secretary of DMK, Paal Pandi, LPF leader, Soundarapandian, Mohan Manickam from CPI, Periasamy from VCK and others took part.
Inspector Balamurugan and team were involved in the security arrangements.
