Coimbatore: Yaksha, the three-day spectacular and colorful feast of music and dance hosted annually by Isha Foundation is all set to commence between February 18-20. Featuring some of the greatest artistes in India the event attracts thousands of ardent spectators.
To preserve and promote the uniqueness, purity and diversity of the country’s performing arts, Isha Foundation annually hosts Yaksha, a three-day festival of culture, music and dance with performances by renowned artistes.
Named after celestial beings in Indian mythology, Yaksha provides a platform for great artistes to perform and connoisseurs to appreciate these ancient arts performed by masters.
This cultural fest is a precursor to the widely anticipated Mahashivratri night, which falls on February 21.
Adding to the festivities, an exhibit of traditional textiles and hand crafts has also been arranged at the Isha Yoga Center.
No Entry fee. Audience are requested to be seated by 6:40 pm.
