On Saturday morning, the villagers of Uyilatti Village informed the forest department of a tiger stuck in a barbed fire fencing in a farmland. The foresters who arrived to the spot decided to tranquilize the animal and release it inside the forest.
Accordingly vetrinary doctor Manahoran from Coimbatore was informed. Meanwhile, the anti-poaching guards ensured that the animal which was groaning in pain was not disturbed by the villagers.
After Veterinarian Manoharan reached the spot at 5 pm on Saturday he commenced preparations to tranquillize the tiger whose hind legs were tangled in the barbed wire.
Surprisingly, the tiger managed to free itself from the wire and escaped into the forest.
The foresters and the villagers expressed a huge sigh of relief, as the tiger escaped without any major injuries.
