Coimbatore: As announced the Pensioner’s redressal meeting to hear the grievances relating to pensionary benefits of the pensioners belonging to the district was convened at the District Collectorate Office on February 14.
Coimbatore: As announced the Pensioner’s redressal meeting to hear the grievances relating to pensionary benefits of the pensioners belonging to the district was convened at the District Collectorate Office on February 14.
The meeting was headed by District Revenue Officer, Rama Duraimurugan. Briefing on the meeting, the DRO said that they had received 60 petitions from the pensioners, out of which five petitions were resolved on the spot.
"The petitions were immediately segregated and forwarded to the concerned departments for redressal", he said.
"The officials were advised to handle the petitions on priority and treat the pensioners with dignity and compassion. As, today's officials will be tomorrow's pensioners", the DRO remarked.
He also noted that out of the 75 petitions received during the last grievance meet, 70 petitions have been resolved and 5 petitions have been kept on hold awaiting additional details from the pensioners.
Officers from treasury, revenue department and members of Pensioners association were present at the grievance meet.
