Coimbatore: Police arrested and detained three men for smuggling LSD drugs and Marijuana in Mayileripalayam in Coimbatore here on Saturday.
Acting upon a tip-off on drug trafficking in Coimbatore, the police team led by DSP Vincent and Inspector Saravanan intercepted three suspects who were wandering around in the Mayileripalayam College area in Coimbatore.
Upon inquiry, it was found the trio were involved in drug trafficking and have been smuggling drugs from Kerala. The police seized LSD drug carton cards and 1.2 kg of marijuana. The accused were identified as S Bilal (22) H Arjun Prasad (22) and G Sarang (22) from Coimbatore.
All three were produced before the Magistrate and remanded at Coimbatore Central Prison.
