According to reports, Police have allegedly unleashed lathi charge on anti-CAA protestors at Vaanarapettai in Chennai on Friday. The incident has sparked outrage amongst the Islamic people who have been staging protests across all districts in Tamil Nadu.
Back here in Coimbatore, the Islamic people protested at Aathupalam and raised slogans against the Police for sparking violence during a protest. They urged the State government to probe the issue.
Security was beefed up in Aathupalam and Ukkadam areas here, as hundreds of Muslims flocked to the protests site at midnight.
