On Tuesday, a cow belonging to farmer Murugan was killed in a leopard attack. Citing repeated incidents the villagers demanded the forest department to capture the leopard which has become a frequent visitor to their village.
Today, it was the goat of farmer Saravanan which was killed by the leopard.
The Sirumugai forest officials who arrived to the spot confirmed that the kill was made by a leopard. They also analysed the pug marks and bite marks. The foresters have assured the villagers that the leopard will be captured soon.
