DMK is an old car unfit for race with Prashant Kishor as it's driver - Pon Radhakrishnan in Coimbatore

Coimbatore: Recalling the 1998 Coimbatore bomb blast, Former BJP MP Pon Radhakrishnan remarked that the homage paid to the victims is a reminder to not let such incidents happen ever again.

Coimbatore: Recalling the 1998 Coimbatore bomb blast, Former BJP MP Pon Radhakrishnan remarked that the homage paid to the victims is a reminder to not let such incidents happen ever again.

"It has been 21 years since policeman Selvaraj was murdered in Coimbatore. Now, it is Wilson in Kanyakumari. Though the police are vigilant regarding these issues, they are not able to control it. The murder of Wilson is a challenge set to the police department", he alleged.

Commenting on the recent Delhi election results, the former BJP MP said "BJP has gained five more places and more votes compared to the last elections. However Kejriwal has won the elections."

"The protests against CAA that happened in Delhi have come to an end after the elections. Similar protests are being kindled in TN too for political gains", he told.

Speaking regarding DMK and their recent move of hiring Prashant Kishor of I-PAC, he mocked that "Prashant Kishor is a brilliant political advisor. He is a driver with great talent, however he is now driving a car that is not fit for race. The 50-year-old car is now without wheels. DMK is currently in incapable hands. Nor do they have talents of Kalaignar nor the intelligence of Duraimurugan in handling elections."

He also mentioned that he did not hear anything about Ramadas denying an alliance with Rajinikanth, as informed by Tamilaruvi Manian.

Talking about the raids in actor Vijay's house, ten senior BJP leaders said "Income tax raids are common. There is no vengeance in this issue."

Regarding the permission granted for Vijay's movie shooting at the Neyveli mining plant, a highly restricted zone, he said, "The Neyveli plant is an autonomous body hence no permission was sought from the Central Minister. The organisation had granted permission on it's own accord."

"I do not have any personal vengeance against Vijay. Infact, I like Vijay", he clarified.

Welcoming the CM's announcement of protecting the Cauvery Delta regions he commented, "Execution of previously approved projects should be decided by the people. The hydrocarbon project was a project that was granted permission, earlier, so only the Central government can decide about it."

Insisting that the TN government should pay more attention to the safety of the State, he said, "The attacks on Auditor Gurumoorthy's house, the attack on the house of a Hindu Munnani cadre are signs of the extremists becoming emboldened."

When questioned about the TNPSC issue, "Why is Stalin being quiet about this issue?, he quipped.

BJP State Secretary Vanathi Srinivasan, and other executive committee members were present.
