The Nilgiris: Several members from Islamic organisations in the Nilgiris district took part in an anti-CAA protest rally and human chain protest on Wednesday.
As part of the ongoing protests, the members who took part in the protest urged the Centre to withdraw the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA), the National Register of Citizens (NRC) and the National Population Register (NPR).
The members formed a human chain in Coonoor which was followed by a rally in Ooty. The protestors raised slogams against the central government and urged the State government to pass a resolution against CAA, NRC, and NPR.
