Coimbatore: Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev conducted motivational yoga, meditation and pranayama class at Coimbatore airport for the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) Jawans.

He demonstrated how a few breathing exercises can help security personnel during rigorous duty schedule yet remain stress and anxiety free. He further advised the jawans to take care of their health and advocated 'karo yog raho nirog' (Do yoga stay healthy).

Insisting that the belly and the waist line should be trim, he suggested Kalpalbhati pranayam to become fit.

He advised the jawans to do yoga for 45 minutes in the morning and 20 minutes in the evening to lead a healthy life. Eating limited good food and avoiding deep fried and fast food and following traditional food habits were his recommendations to help one stay healthy, said Guru Ramdev who is an advocate of the PM's Fit India movement.

Explaining the merits of breathing exercises, he said, "Meditation and pranayama help in improving the oxygen content in the blood and helps the respiratory system. The female jawans are mindful of their fitness concern than the men. The Coimbatore jawans prioritise health and fitness."

Deputy Commandant CISF Manmohan Singh, Assistant Commandant Premkumar, Terminal Manager Coimbatore International Airport Anand Satsangi, Central Coordinator of Patanjali Yogpeeth and others were present.

Earlier, he attended the Indian Yoga Association General Council meeting at Isha Yoga Centre, Coimbatore with Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev and other yoga experts and government officials on February 10.
