Coimbatore: To create awareness and avoid panic among the public on the outbreak of novel Coronavirus, the students of Valparai government arts and science college held a rally to educate the masses.
Coimbatore: To create awareness and avoid panic among the public on the outbreak of novel Coronavirus, the students of Valparai government arts and science college held a rally to educate the masses.
Explaining the symptoms, precautions and the way the virus spreads from one person to another, the students educated the public on the deadly virus and how we can combat it by practicing good hygienic practices. The students stressed the people to wash their hands thoroughly and use tissue papers or kerchiefs while sneezing.or coughing.
Over 200 students led Principal Dr. Muralidharan took part in the rally which commenced from the college and went through Gandhi statue, old bus stand, new market, jewellery store street, post office and police station before concluding in the college premises.
Awareness pamphlets were also distributed during the rally. Earlier, an awareness camp on Coronavirus was held at the college, today.
