"While, farmers strive hard to pool their produce and sell them at Uzhavar Sandhai, the traders who buy vegetables from wholesale markets are also permitted inside the Sandhai. They sell at low prices and affect the sale of the farmers which is against the very idea of Uzhavar Sandhai, itself", they told in their petition.
"This gravely affects the livelihood of the farmers, hence the District administration should ensure that only farmers have access to Uzhavar Sandhais", they appealed to the District Collector.
