Sasikanth Senthil, former Deputy Commissioner of Dakshina Kannada district at a meeting in Mangalam, Tirupur here on Monday.
Claiming it to be unethical and on his part to continue as civil servant when “fundamental building blocks of diverse democracy are being compromised”, Sasikanth resigned from his civil services in 2019 and remarked that it is important for him to be outside IAS and work for the society.
Addressing the press, the IAS officer slammed that CAA, NRC and NPR are against the constitution and worst laws. "Such laws and acts are the heights of fascism. The Tamil Nadu State should not allow CAA, NPR and NRC to be implemented. The State should indeed reassure the people here by rejecting them", he urged.
Congress General Secretary Subramanian, Congress spokesperson Trichy Veluchami, Makkal Manithaneya Katchi, Jawarhiulla and others leaders also took part in the meeting held on behalf of All Islamic Jamaat Federation condemning CAA.
