According to a senior corporation official, 16 mobile toilets, 25 large garbage bins which can hold 5 tonnes of waste and 2000 litre water tanks at nine places have been placed at Marudhamalai for Thaipoosam celebrations to be held tomorrow.

As over a lakh devotees are expected to take part in the festival at the Subramaniaswamy temple in Marudhamalai on February 8. Hence, the city corporation has enhanced the basic amenities around the temple area.
