Complaint filed against Minister Dindugal Srinivasan in Coimbatore Commissioner Office

Coimbatore: A complaint has been lodged on behalf of the Tamil Nadu Theendamai Ozhippu Munnani and other parties at the Coimbatore Police Commissioner's Office against Minister Dindigul Srinivasan urging to book him under the Prevention of Atrocities Act for making a tribal boy to unbuckle his sandals.


Coimbatore: A complaint has been lodged on behalf of the Tamil Nadu Theendamai Ozhippu Munnani and other parties at the Coimbatore Police Commissioner's Office against Minister Dindigul Srinivasan urging to book him under the Prevention of Atrocities Act for making a tribal boy to unbuckle his sandals.

Claiming the Minister's act as highly disrespectful and against the constitution, the members of Tamil Nadu Theendamai Ozhippu Munnani, Student Federation of India and Dravidar Tamilar Katchi thronged the Police Commissioner's Office on Friday herem 



They petitioned and lodged a formal complaint on the Minister and all other higher officials including the District Collector of the Nilgiris, J Innocent Divya, who did not intervene in the issue. 

The complainants alleged that the actions of the Minister is against the constitution. "After taking an oath that untouchability is a sin, his actions are punishable. Hence, necessary legal action must be initiated against him", they urged.
