In one such inspection held at Narikkuravar Colony, the police fell suspicious on a woman and inquired her. While checking her bag, the Police found illegal drugs and seized them.
The accused was identified as Palaniammal from Bhujanganur and has been involved in the trade of illegal drugs, for a while.
In another incident, the Karamadai Police arrested Maheshkumar for selling banned lottery near Pillukadai Mukku on Sirumugai Road. They confiscated Kerala lottery tickets from him.
Both, Palaniammal and Maheshkumar were arrested and remanded under judicial custody.
