Coimbatore: Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation ltd (RIICO) organised an investor meet at a private hotel in the city on Wednesday. The event was inaugurated by JITO, Coimbatore and members of JITO participated.

During the investor meeting, RIICO detailed on information to the Coimbatore investors about the Rajasthan Government’s new Industrial policy and incentives, it envisages for investors in the State through the Rajasthan Investment promotion scheme- 2019.

The seminar was inaugurated by Ramesh Bafna, President, JITO, Coimbatore and Coimbatore Welfare Association. The seminar was jointly organized by JITO Coimbatore, Coimbatore Management Association, Rajasthan Foundation, FICCI FLO, Coimbatore welfare association and TIE, Coimbatore.
RIICO officers S K Gupta, Sr DGM and Tarun K Jain, DGM (Finance), informed all participating investors about opportunities in the field of conventional energy (solar & wind), stones, textiles, ceramics, manufacturing, IT, handicrafts and automobiles in Rajasthan.
RIICO in the seminar had a PPT explaining that it is a Government of Rajasthan enterprise that provides state of the art infrastructure for setting up industries in Rajasthan. RIICO has developed 348 industrial areas spread over 48,000 acres of land wherein 40000 industrial units are in production. "We have around 20000 vacant plots available for allotment and are in process of launching 35 new industrial areas for allotment", they informed.
In order to generate employment opportunities and promote rapid, sustainable and balanced economic growth to eligible manufacturing and services sector enterprises. Rajasthan Government of Rajasthan has recently issued “The Rajasthan investment Promotion scheme, 2019” (RIPS- 2019).
With the view to outreach leading industrialists across India for a mutually rewarding association, this investor meet has been conducted, told the organizers.
The investor meet was appreciated by all participants that investment in Rajasthan would give a geographical advantage to Coimbatore entrepreneurs while the surplus/profit flowing back to Coimbatore would flourish the economy of Tamil Nadu.
