Coimbatore: Minister for Forests, Dindugal Srinivasan has sparked controversy after he asked a tribal boy to unbuckle his footwear at the Elephant Camp in Mudumalai Tiger Reserve (MTR) on Thursday.
While the video has sent shock waves among the public, the Minister has offered a self explanation. "I meant no offence. I called the boy just as I would have called my grandson for help. There is no other intentions behind this", he clarified.
Not paying heed to his explanations, Child activists and people have strongly condemned the Minister's act.
