Coimbatore: Assuring fair allocation of funds to the Panchayat Ward members, Shanthimathi the newly elected Chairman of Coimbatore district addressed the fellow Panchayat Ward members at the first District Panchayat Committee general meeting held on Wednesday.
Coimbatore: Assuring fair allocation of funds to the Panchayat Ward members, Shanthimathi the newly elected Chairman of Coimbatore district addressed the fellow Panchayat Ward members at the first District Panchayat Committee general meeting held on Wednesday.

The Panchayat members were informed that sufficient funds will be provided for developmental activities to uplift their villages and for ensuring basic amenities like street lights, drinking water facilities and roads.
Speaking to the members, the District Chairman told that funds will be allocated in an unbiased manner and no discrimination will be showed to based on party. "Funds for the projects under the District Panchayat Administration will be provided from the District Panchayat State Finance committee grant for the year 2019-20. Each district Panchayat member will be allotted Rs.10 lakhs", she told.
Discussions were held regarding the requirements of each Panchayats. Importantly, the ward member were directed to execute the projects without delays.
Resolutions were passed regarding the developmental projects to be undertaken in the district, on priority basis.
District Panchayat, Vice-Chairman T.K. Amul Kandasamy, District Panchayat Secretary, Sangamithra and members of the District Panchayat were present.
