Coimbatore: Following the announcement of Budget 2020-21, the Trade unions have raised concerns that the budget has failed to address several pressing issues like rising unemployment.
Coimbatore: Following the announcement of Budget 2020-21, the Trade unions have raised concerns that the budget has failed to address several pressing issues like rising unemployment.
Alleging that the Budget 2020-21 has neglected to address various pressing issues like rising unemployment and no fund allocation has been made to invest in infrastructure, social sectors and agriculture to generate employment, the District CITU members staged a protest here on Wednesday.

As a part of this, the District CITU had called for a protest near Power house at Sivananda Colony, today. The protest was led by the CITU State Committee member S. Arumugam.
CITU District President C. Padhmanabhan, District Secretary Krishnamoorthy and Treasurer Velusamy took part in the protest and raised their concerns.
