Wreaths were placed on the plaque inside the church, which read "When you go home, tell them of us and say, for their tomorrow, we gave our today”.
Every year, the prayer meeting is held on Sunday, after the Martyrs day which is observed on January 30 to pay tribute to the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the nation.
The day ended with a tribute by the Army band.
