H. Raja in a press meet here on Sunday, lambasted DMK leader Stalin of waging a war against Hindu culture and traditions. "He is an enemy of Hindu soil and culture. By blindly supporting and provoking anti-CAA protests, DMK as a party has transformed into Muslim league", he accused.
When questioned on the raging debate on conducting the consecration of ancient Thanjavur Periya Kovil, H Raja accused that all those who provoked the issue are against Hindus and their culture. "Those who criticise or insult Hindu religion will face severe consequences", he warned.
"Among other anti-national elements, why is Jainulabdeen, David Maniarasan and Ahmed Kabir are fighting to conduct Thanjai Periya temple conscretion in Tamil over Sanskrit..?", he questioned.
In his statement issued on January 18, Stalin said that the temple was a symbol of the Dravidian architecture and hence the Kumbabishekam must be conducted in Tamil.
"We (BJP) are not bothered or do we question why Tamil Muslims here are reciting Kuran in Arabic language instead of Tamil. Because we understand that religion and language are different. But none of these people who have voiced for Thanjai Periya Kovil consecration in Tamil language have raised their concern of Muslims reciting in Arabic", he alleged.
Condemning the City Police for taking sides with encroachers who are hindering the opening of the 60-year-old, Kangar Appuchi Temple in Varadharajapuram in Coimbatore, H. Raja urged that the Police should act in an unbiased way.
"The stone, statues and the name board of the temple which was seized by the Police should be handed over to the temple. The temple has to be opened for public within 30 days", he stressed.
"This is a Hindu Nation. Hindus have all rights to a temple. So, we will now how to get the temple opened", he warned.
