The Nilgiris: The Madras Regimental Center Colonel, Vinod Doshi, in his speech on the 58th Annual Day of the Coonoor St. Mary's Girls Higher Secondary School said that students should involve in the military with patriotism
The 58th Anniversary of St. Mary's Girls Higher Secondary School, Coonoor and the commemoration of St. Rafael were celebrated. Colonel Vinod Joshi and Army Education Officer Major Preethi were the chief guests at the event. The school's headmaster Sr. Joanna, presided the event.
Army Commander Colonel Vinod Joshi said that the students should be motivated to do a lot of philanthropic work and volunteer in the military. Prizes were awarded to motivate the students who had won at the district and state level in various competitions including sports and essay writing.
The event featured dancing depicting the life of the fisherman, the traditional dance of tribals, and a silent drama depicting the life history of the founder of Kanikkai Annai.
Welcome address was delivered by Leela Jasmine and Vote of Thanks was delivered by Tharini.
