Coimbatore: A free Medical Camp for tribals was held in Valparai. The tribal communities like Kadar, Irular, Mudhuvar, Pulaiyar are living in 16 settlements in the dense forests of Valparai in the Coimbatore District. The areas where they live do not have any access to road and electricity.
Coimbatore: A free Medical Camp for tribals was held in Valparai. The tribal communities like Kadar, Irular, Mudhuvar, Pulaiyar are living in 16 settlements in the dense forests of Valparai in the Coimbatore District. The areas where they live do not have any access to road and electricity.
They are forced to walk several kilometres to access medical care. In order to avoid this, the medical team headed by Dr. Surendran, a doctor on behalf of the Valparai Government Medical Center, went to Kavarkal Settlement and carried out various medical tests including blood pressure and sugar levels.

They were given prescription and pills after the test. The camp was attended by Chief Physician Surendran, Naturopathic Physician Karthikesh, Siddha doctor Babu, pharmacist Kalaichelvan and 40 people from 13 tribal families.
