Coimbatore: Elections for the positions of President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer of the Coimbatore Lawyers Association were held yesterday.
Coimbatore: Elections for the positions of President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer of the Coimbatore Lawyers Association were held yesterday.
The Coimbatore Lawyer's Association elections are held at the end of January at the Coimbatore Combined Court. Similarly, the Lawyers' Association election, which began at 9 AM this morning, was held until 4:30 PM in the evening.
The election was held using ballot system. 2850 Lawyers were eligible to participate in the election. Of these, 2043 enthusiastically voted. The vote counting was held from 5:30 pm to 11:00 pm.
Arulmozhi, who contested for the President won with 922 votes. Thirugnanasambandham, who contested for the post of Vice President, won with 814 votes. Kalyarasan won the Secretary election with 659 votes. Similarly, Ravichandran contested for the post of treasurer and won with 1293 votes.
Following this, fellow lawyers greeted the winners and congratulated them.
