Demanding timely compensation for their land which was acquired by the State Government for installing high tension power grids inside agricultural lands, the farmers from the region have been on a protest spree urging to settle maximum compensation.
"Like, the farmers in Coimbatore region who have received maximum compensation, Tirupur farmers should also be compensated the same way", they putforth.
The farmers have apprised that they would host a series of novel protests, if their pleas go unheard.
