A female student from Wuhan University in China who arrived to Kerala was tested positive for the novel coronavirus, confirmed KK Shailaja, Kerala Health Minister. An emergency meeting was held in this regard at 3pm, today.
“The patient has been isolated in a hospital in Kerala. The patient is reported stable and is being closely monitored,” a statement from the Indian ministry of health and family welfare confirmed.
It may be noted that in Kerala alone, 806 people are currently under observation.
The global death toll due to the virus has risen to 170 as the virus spreads to countries across the world.
