Leaders from across the political spectrum paid tributes to the Mahatma Gandhi on his 72nd death anniversary and hailed his contribution towards building a secular India.
Taking a pledge of building a united and secular India, in which everyone will be treated with equality and human dignity, the lawyers gathered at the District Combined Court Complex here and raised slogans against majoritarian forces that try to defeat the secular ideas proposed by Mahatma.
"On this day in 1948, Mahatma Gandhi was assassinated. Upholding his legacy of secularism is the biggest tribute to him", the lawyers insisted.
