Tirupur : In a tragic incident, a young journalist from Tirupur who was travelling along with his family, succumbed to injuries from a fatal car crash that also killed his mother and injured his sister at Kanjapalli near Avinashi here.
Tirupur : In a tragic incident, a young journalist from Tirupur who was travelling along with his family, succumbed to injuries from a fatal car crash that also killed his mother and injured his sister at Kanjapalli near Avinashi here.
According to police, K. Rajasekar (31), working as a reporter with the Times of India and was based in Tirupur district. He along with his mother K. Jamunarani (55) and sister K. Banupriya, were driving in a car, while a government bus hit them head on.
All three were injured in the accident. While Jamunarani succumbed on the spot, Rajasekar was taken to a private hospital for treatment. However, he succumbed in the hospital. And, his sister Banupriya is being treated for her injuries.

The accident that took place in the wee hours on Wednesday shook the journalist fraternity of Coimbatore and Tirupur, as journalist friends continue to grieve with his family.
He had earlier worked with the New Indian Express in its Madurai bureau.
