Tirupur: KS Alagiri today said, that Congress' supports the call to conduct Thanjavur Peruvudayar Temple's Kumbhabishekam in Tamil. A meeting of the Tiruppur Northern District Congress members was held in Kangeyam today. State President KS Alagiri was present.

Speaking to the reporters, he said, "Public sector companies are being sold to private companies almost daily now. If the railways are given to the private sector, the fare will increase manifold. The central government is making many mistakes in the economic sector."
"The Citizenship Amendment Act has been brought to divert the attention of the people. It is something unnecessary. The Central Government has to make many changes to the GST tax system. Many industries are now struggling to operate. The state government has the power to not implement the hydrocarbon project, by the central government. But the state government is not doing it.".
He opined that Tamil is a sweeter language than Sanskrit and said that Congress supports the request to conduct the Kumbhabishekam of the Tanjore Big Temple in Tamil. He said that only after the announcement of the election date for the corporation, municipal and panchayat areas, talks about the alliance with DMK and the seat allocation will be discussed. The DMK-Congress crisis is like a crisis between friends and family. It was nothing abnormal but something usual in a long relationship.
