Tirupur: Reacting to the recent audio released of a revenue inspector threatening a village administrative officer for confiscating a lorry, District Collector of Tirupur, K. Vijayakarthikeyan has assured to probe the issue and initiate action on the erring officials.

In a shocking audio, between Eshwari, Revenue Inspector of Tirupur district and Karthik, a Village adminstrative officer, the former has threatened the latter to release a confiscated lorry which was reportedly involved in smuggling sand.

In the audio, Eashwari demands Karthik to release the confiscated lorry and states that he shouldn't be poking his nose in such issues, as higher officials including the Collector and Tahsildhar are linked in the loop.

She also warns him that he is not vested with the duty or power to confiscate vehicles. Karthik, the village administrative officer of Kattoor Village in Palladam taluk turned her threats off by disconnecting the call.
