Mettupalayam: The students of Mettupalayam govt and Metro School in Coimbatore today raised awareness among the public by cleaning up the bus stations to emphasize cleanliness to the public during Republic Day.
Mettupalayam: The students of Mettupalayam govt and Metro School in Coimbatore today raised awareness among the public by cleaning up the bus stations to emphasize cleanliness to the public during Republic Day.
Around 200 students got to work in the Mettupalayam Bus Stand and the Amma restaurant, cleaned up the garbage and disposed off the garbage collected in the presence of the public. The students also gave out notices urging the general public to cooperate in keeping the environment clean, in order to prevent diseases from spreading to the neighbourhood.
The event was attended by a large number of school children including Nagaraj, Principal, Sulakshana and other teachers.
