Coimbatore: Members of Actor Rajinikanth Fan Club here have petitioned to the City Police Commissioner demanding action against Dravidar Kazhagam (DK) and Dravidar Viduthalai Kazhagam (DVK) for issuing death threats to Actor Rajini in the Periyar row.
Coimbatore: Members of Actor Rajinikanth Fan Club here have petitioned to the City Police Commissioner demanding action against Dravidar Kazhagam (DK) and Dravidar Viduthalai Kazhagam (DVK) for issuing death threats to Actor Rajini in the Periyar row.
As the political row over Rajinikanth's remarks on Periyar has sparked outrage in Tamil Nadu, dravidian parties have strongly condemned the actor for registering false information against Periyar, the Dravidian icon. Last week, members of DVK and DK filed a petition against the actor for his comments on Periyar at the 50th anniversary of Thuklaq magazine.
In response to their petition, the members of Rajini Fan Club, today have alleged that the members of DK and DVK have warned to intrude in his film shootings and cause disturbance. They also alleged the DVK members of issuing death threats for registering his thoughts about Periyar.
The District Fan Club members have sought legal action against the members of DK and DVK.
