3048 job seekers have benefitted from District Employment Camp in 2019-2020

Coimbatore: Manjula from Uppilipalayam was among the hundreds of beneficiaries who were offered jobs at the District Employment Officer's free recruitment camp held on January 22, 2020 at the District the city.

A press release from the District Collectorate detailed on the beneficiaries of such recruitment camps held between 2018 to 2020. "6280 job seekers have been provided employment in the last two years through the camp, of which 3038 job aspirants have secured suitable jobs in private sectors", said the District Collector. 

"A total of 3232 job seekers have been employed in the private sector through the employment camps held in 2018-19. A total of 6535 job seekers and 578 employers participated in the employment camps in 2019-20, of which 3048 job seekers have benefited from the 2019-20 employment camp", the Collector informed. 

"All selected candidates were given on the spot appointment letters by the employees", the release said. 

Among the beneficiaries of the recent recruitment camp is Manjula from Uppilipalayam who has been selected by a private entity for Rs.10,000 salary per month. The release said that Manjula had thanked the Government of Tamil Nadu and the District Administration for providing this opportunity. 

Job seekers with basic educational qualification with 10th, 12th grade, graduates, masters, graduates of ITI, diploma holders and people with all academic qualifications take part in the monthly recruitment camps held on third Fridays at the District Employment Office located on Mettupalayam road inside the ITI campus. 

Skilled labour like driver, fitter, turner and computer operator were also provided with job opportunities.
