Coimbatore: Free eye and health camps were held for the drivers of Coimbatore division of Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC), today. The event was held as part of the 31st road traffic safety awareness week.

Anbu Abraham, Managing Director of TNSTC, Coimbatore division inaugurated the free medical and eye camp.

The camp was organized to check eye and health defects of TNSTC drivers to make sure that they have good visibility. As visibility issues can cause accidents, the camp was aimed to prevent such accidents which could prove fatal, many times. The drivers who were detected with eye and health issues were given proper medical advice and spectacles.

The health camp was sponsored by Royal Care hospitals and eye camp was sponsored by Dr Agarwal Eye Hospital.

TNSTC General Manager, Mahendra Kumar, Kumar, Deputy Manager and Assistant Manager Ramanathan and drivers, conductors, employees and officials were present.
